This workshop will focus on how utilities can successfully integrate intermittent generation sources.  Participants will gain an understanding of how electric utilities are mitigating the issue of intermittency from renewable resources through creating a more flexible system. In particular, they will look at:  flexible generation, variable generation integration analysis, intermittent resource impacts on the system and how to build a more flexible system to address them, frequency response, system balancing, and energy storage.  This workshop will assist participants in formulating plans to successfully operate every increasing amounts of intermittent generation in their grids by building a more flexible grid.

Organized by: United States Energy Association (USEA) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)
